This past week I was able to take a lovely 4 days off. It has been a long time since I have taken any sort of vacation and not because I couldn’t, but because I actually really enjoy working as a person trainer in Houston. Sometimes you need a break and my body has been telling me for a while I needed a break.


Your body will often tell you what it needs and it has been telling me for a while I needed to disconnect and that’s exactly what I did.


What is your body telling you?


Are struggling with energy? Your body may be telling you that you are not getting the right nutrients, or enough sleep. It may be telling you that you need to slow down a little and take a deep breath and clear your schedule.


Are you struggling with aches and pains all the time? Your body may be telling you, you need to stretch more, you are not getting the right vitamins or nutrients, or to spend time warming-up before you start working out.


Every time I really stop and listen to my body, it is generally telling me what I need to know….the trick is to actually stop and listen.


I have an exercise for you this week. Any time you feel off in any one area of your life; energy, fogginess, aches, pains, hunger, skin problems, weight gain or loss, stop and really evaluate what your body is telling you and be honest with the answer.


Give the body what it is asking for and you may be pleasantly surprised at how much better you feel!
