I have had periods in my life where I was very active and healthy. However, as I settled into a career and marriage, exercise became sporadic. Ten years passed and I gained close to 100 pounds. I was miserable and unhappy. In 2009, I lost over 107 pounds and was determined to change my life. That worked for a while, but I never made the real changes I needed to make. Since then a few pounds had crept back, but I could not find the motivation to take it off and become active again.
My first introduction to Body3 was through my son and daughter-in-law. I was intrigued by and envious of their excitement when talking about their ‘gym’ and the staff. They spoke of everyone as if they were personal friends. Over the years, I paid for several gym memberships, but never felt that kind of excitement or connection and usually stopped attending after a few weeks. Not one person from any of those gyms ever contacted me when I missed or stopped going.
So, one of the first things I did was meet with Cassandra. She explained the Body3 program and family environment. I was excited and a little scared about joining Body3. Body3 is the first place where after 6 months; I still look forward to going every day. From day one, I felt welcomed and part of a team/family whose focus was to help me improve my health, body shape and strength. When I doubt myself, they do not.
My family has noticed the changes in me and can’t believe how much I love working out (actually, neither can I). My strength and flexibility continue to improve and I feel great every day. Laughter is as much a part of the Body3 workout as weight training, cardio, stretching, and foam rolling. Maybe that is the secret ingredient. All I know is without my Body3 friends/family’s encouragement; I would still be sitting on the coach.
