We met as 50 year olds, fell in love and got married on the lucky day, 7/7/7. We both talked about sharing decades of life together but given our late start, good health (not luck) would be a major determinant. Our goal was still to be able to have and enjoy sex at age 80! We agreed, that instead of worrying about what to get each other for birthday’s, anniversary, Christmas, etc., we would give each other the “Gift of Life.” One aspect of that gift was finding a personal trainer to work with three days a week.
Ten years later and we are doing our best to stay active. Rich has had a hip put back together as well as an ankle and ligaments reconstructed (one biking related the other white water rafting). We both ride the BP MS150 annually and stay active in a number of different ways.
We were with our first trainer for many years, then she decided to go to law school. As our days were consumed with building a new house in Oak Forest and recovering from surgery we fell off the training routine. Once all was well we interviewed many possible new trainers but found ourselves attracted to Body 3 Fit and their holistic approach to good health.
Our time here began on our 10th anniversary and we have our 3 days per week with Andrew. While he is pushing us to do our best, he also recognizes the needs and limits of those of us age 60++! We look forward to still being active and working hard well into our 70s with Andrew and Body 3 Personal Fitness getting us there.
